Privacy & analytics

Your choice

Google Analytics is optional. We only load it after you choose Allow analytics. No thanks keeps analytics off. Use Analytics settings at any time to change your choice. We also honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals.

What analytics measures

If you opt in, Google Analytics processes page visits, referring website, device/browser information and activity on the site. On AnimeDrafts we measure confirmed draft starts, picks, completed seasons, controlled replays, 17-to-82 extensions and successful sharing actions, including mode and win count. A successful share means the browser completed copying or sharing; it does not prove the recipient opened it. Google uses analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals.

We do not send your game cookie, saved rosters, random seeds, search text, names or email addresses in our analytics events. Page addresses exclude query strings and fragments; referring addresses are limited to their website origin. Google receives network information, including your IP address, when your browser connects to its service. See Google’s privacy policy.

Browser storage and hosting

Unlimited drafts, a controlled replay, your best record, your ten most recent non-favorited teams and up to ten favorites are saved in this browser. Clearing site data removes those saves. These teams are not synchronized to an account. Local run identifiers prevent duplicate completion counts and are not sent to analytics. Daily drafts and streaks are stored on our server under a hashed anonymous browser identity. An essential HttpOnly cookie identifies your daily progress for up to one year. Clearing that cookie loses access to the previous daily identity. There are no accounts. Your analytics preference is also stored in this browser.

Your analytics choice and analytics cookies expire after up to six months. Withdrawing consent clears this site's analytics cookies and stops future analytics collection; it does not erase data already processed by Google. Our hosting provider, Google Cloud, also processes operational request logs to serve and secure the website.

Character scouting

Archive filters and two-character comparisons run in your browser. A scouting link contains the search text, filters and character IDs you choose to include; it does not include your saved drafts or scores. Optional analytics counts archive opening once per browser session and two-character comparison selections, with only same-role or different-role categories. Search text, filters and character IDs are not sent to analytics.

Game events and friend challenges

When analytics is allowed, we measure draft steps, completion, sharing methods, game mode and a short promotion source label. We do not send challenge identifiers, full query strings, character selections or daily ownership cookies to analytics. Public friend links contain the game recipe, squad and score; anyone with the link can view or replay them. Completing daily drafts now contributes to a play streak independently of the win streak.

Weekly event records

Weekly play uses a separate anonymous cookie, animedrafts_weekly_owner, scoped to /api/weekly. It is HttpOnly, SameSite Strict, Secure on HTTPS, and expires after one year. Its identifier is hashed before the server uses it to find your weekly records. The server saves your active weekly picks, completed-attempt count and personal-best squad in a separate private store. It returns only this browser identity’s records. Clearing the cookie or changing browsers loses access; no account sync is available.

The weekly archive shows up to 12 earlier events with completed results. Starting an event retains the current event and up to 12 preceding saved event records, removing older ones for that identity. This is activity-based retention, not a promise of deletion on a calendar date. A device-local copy may also appear in My teams. Shared links reveal the selected characters and record to anyone who receives the link.

Optional analytics includes weekly starts and completions by game mode. Weekly owner identifiers, personal-best records and browser run identifiers are not sent to analytics. Weekly play does not require analytics consent.

Public rivalry results

Choosing Create public rivalry link saves both six-character squads, calculated battle scores, rules, the UTC creation date and any source invite or rematch link in a separate server store. Anyone with the link can view that record and start another matchup. These records do not contain private daily or weekly identities, names, browser run identifiers or account details. Public results remain available until removed by the operator; there is no automatic expiry or account recovery. Save or send your link to find it again.

Optional analytics measures rivalry publication, result views, link copying and rematch selection. Rivalry identifiers are removed from analytics page addresses and are not sent in event parameters. These features work without analytics consent.

Rivalry history on this device

Opening or publishing a public rivalry saves a local bookmark: its ID, battle length, creation date, win counts, last-opened time and whether it was published from this browser. Up to 20 recent bookmarks are stored in animedrafts-rivalries-v1 in local storage. The summary counts only retained published matchups, from the challenger perspective; viewed links do not prove that you played. This is not an account record or a lifetime ranking. Remove individual bookmarks in My rivalries, or clear browser site data. Neither action deletes the public server result. Older public links can be reopened as viewed bookmarks; their publisher cannot be recovered automatically.

Optional analytics measures selections from history without sending the bookmark list or public IDs. History works without analytics consent.

Management season prototype

Manage 82 keeps one management season on this device in animedrafts-manager-v1 local storage: six character IDs, a random seed, the manager-v1 rules version, up to four tactical choices, and a local run ID. A tactics replay also retains the immediately preceding completed plan order for comparison. The game rebuilds opponents and scores from those inputs; it does not upload this season to a server or change daily, weekly, instant-season or friend records. Starting a new management season replaces that saved season. Clearing browser site data removes it; there is no account sync.

A link used to bring your squad into management contains six character IDs in its URL fragment. Anyone receiving that link can see the squad, but it does not contain your management progress or scores. Optional analytics counts management starts, plan choices, completions and replays. It excludes picks, seeds, local run IDs, saved plans and URL fragments; only the selected plan name, segment number, mode, battle length and final win count may be included.
