Anime team builder: build your dream six
AnimeDrafts is a free anime team builder with a draft constraint: pick one of five offered characters for each role. Your squad crosses anime worlds, but every member needs a job. You do not need an account or download.

From your first pick to your first battle
- Compare the current role. Read the five cards and their named forms. A famous fighter is not automatically the strongest option for a planning or support slot.
- Confirm one character. Each identity can appear only once. Keep your two redraws for pools where your available choices do not fit the team you are building.
- Fill all six roles. The sixth confirmation runs your selected 17- or 82-battle season. Opponents use the same scoring formula.
- Test your decisions. Choose Improve your squad to reuse the offered pools and opponents, then compare the new record with your first attempt. Save favorites in My teams or share your six with a friend.
Choose a role before choosing a name
Captain: set the tempo
The Captain leads the squad. Strategy and Support have the largest weights in this slot, so it rewards coordination alongside combat ability. Captain-only pools start every new draft.
Vanguard: make the opening
Vanguards prioritize Power and Speed to break the line. Their pool offers characters assigned to the frontline role. A strong opening helps the rest of your dream team contribute.
Tactician: read the battlefield
Strategy is the dominant Tactician attribute. This is where information and planning specialists can contribute even when they have less direct attack power. The numeric rating still abstracts conditional abilities rather than guaranteeing automatic wins.
Guardian: protect the squad
Support drives Guardian strength. Protection, recovery and battlefield safety are represented in that attribute. Guardians are not required to be the hardest hitters to provide value.
Wildcard: turn chaos into opportunity
Speed has the highest Wildcard weight, followed by Power and Strategy. Disruption and unusual movement can create openings. You choose from five assigned Wildcards at this stage.
Finisher: close the fight
Power matters most for Finishers, with Speed as the next largest factor. Your final pool is Finisher-only. Confirming this sixth pick completes the squad and starts the simulated season.
When does anime chemistry beat individual strength?
The team score starts with the average of six weighted role contributions. A second character from a represented anime adds a 0.7 chemistry bonus. If that character contributes six fewer points in their role than the alternative, the team average drops by 1.0: the 0.7 bond would not make up the difference. This example holds the other five picks and role coverage fixed.
Look at the actual forms and role weights before chasing a series bonus. Naruto and a Naruto transformation cannot occupy two slots because they share one identity. The ratings guide explains the full formula; the worked draft example applies it to real offered cards.
Pick the right way to test your team
- Regular season: face 17 rival squads, or choose 82 battles. A finished regular 17-battle team can extend to 82 without changing its first 17 results.
- Daily draft: try the shared 17-battle challenge once per browser identity for the UTC day. Daily attempts and streaks are separate.
- Friend battle: share your team so a friend can draft their own six and face your squad for 17 or 82 rounds.
These are simulated arcade results based on editorial game values, not official rankings of anime characters. A 17-battle record and an 82-battle record answer different questions; use a controlled replay for a clearer comparison of your picks.
