How AnimeDrafts Ratings and Battles Work
Anime Drafts uses editorial arcade ratings. A number on the 0–100 scale compresses different fictional worlds into a playable game; it is not a literal power multiplier or an official measurement.
Four attributes, six roles
Each form has Power, Speed, Strategy and Support. Overall uses 40%, 25%, 20% and 15% respectively. Battles use the weights of the slot a character fills, so a lower overall character can contribute more in the right role.
| Role | Power | Speed | Strategy | Support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Captain | 20% | 15% | 40% | 25% |
| Vanguard | 50% | 30% | 10% | 10% |
| Tactician | 10% | 15% | 60% | 15% |
| Guardian | 10% | 10% | 20% | 60% |
| Wildcard | 25% | 45% | 20% | 10% |
| Finisher | 55% | 25% | 15% | 5% |
Team strength and chemistry
Start with the average of the six weighted role contributions. Add 0.7 for each teammate from an already represented anime world, and 0.55 for each distinct authored role represented. Current role-specific pools normally cover all six authored roles, adding 3.3. A shared-series bond can help but does not automatically outweigh role fit.
Battle variation and opposition
Each side receives seeded variation of up to six points. In current regular seasons, enemies fill all six roles and scout two candidates per role for rounds 1–17, then three for rounds 18–82. They receive no hidden stat bonus. A friend team battle instead uses the same shared six opponents in every round and breaks exact ties with a seeded coin flip.
Forms and sources
Character profiles describe the selected form and its scope. A base-form ability is not silently upgraded to a later transformation: standard Gold Experience excludes Requiem, for example. Profile notes and references inform the editorial interpretation; the assigned numbers are authored for the simulation. Read the public profiles or send a sourced correction.
Saved rules and fair comparisons
Older drafts retain their saved balance and pool versions. Daily dates keep their original rules. Same-season challenges pin pools and rival teams; friend team battles use current ratings on both squads. Those modes answer different questions, so their win totals are not interchangeable rankings.
