How to play animedrafts

Build an anime dream team, one choice at a time.

AnimeDrafts (Anime Drafts) is a free browser anime draft game with 50 anime worlds and 320 playable character versions. Each new pick offers five choices for the current role. Build a Captain, Vanguard, Tactician, Guardian, Wildcard and Finisher, then see how your squad fares in 17 or 82 simulated battles.

Mix Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Bleach and more. Named transformations have distinct editorial profiles. Play unlimited rounds or return for a daily draft: completing it builds a play streak; ten wins also builds a win streak. Share your team with a friend for an asynchronous 17- or 82-battle matchup. This is an unofficial fan game; ratings are editorial interpretations, not official power rankings.

How does an anime draft work?

An anime draft is a team-building game: choose characters from the options offered, fill your squad’s roles, then test the result. In AnimeDrafts, every pick offers five role-matched choices and you have two redraws for the entire six-pick draft. You cannot simply select any character from the archive.

Which anime characters can I draft?

The crossover roster includes Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Jujutsu Kaisen, Code Geass and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, alongside many other series. Browse all 50 anime worlds to see available roles and forms. Pools mix worlds; only one form of each character can join your team.

Can I save my team or play against a friend?

After your sixth pick, favorite your squad in My teams or share an invite. A friend builds their own team and faces yours in a 17- or 82-battle simulation. See how friend battles work. Teams are saved in your browser; no account or download is required.

What should I try after my first season?

Choose Improve your squad to change picks against the same pools and opponents, extend a finished regular season to 82 battles, or return for the daily anime draft. Try the weekly themed event for fixed pools, repeat attempts and a saved personal best. Use the anime team-building guide to compare role strengths before your next draft.

Your crossover arc.

Each new draft pick offers five random characters assigned to the current role, drawn across anime worlds: Captains first, then Vanguards, Tacticians, Guardians, Wildcards and Finishers. Choose one to fill that role. You have two pool redraws across the six-pick draft. Each pool has five distinct identities and excludes anyone already on your squad. Redraws stay within the same role. Each offered form must be assigned to that role.

Each squad can use only one form of a character. Forms have distinct editorial ability profiles, with strengths and tradeoffs. Build six roles: Captain leads, Vanguard breaks lines, Tactician finds openings, Guardian protects, Wildcard disrupts, and Finisher closes battles. Role fit, complementary abilities, series bonds and a little luck all count.

After six picks, fight 17 or 82 six-character teams. Opponents exclude your characters. Every battle uses the same scoring rules for both sides. New opponents fill the correct roles and scout two candidates per role for the first 17 battles, then three for the marathon. Complete 17 battles and choose “Take this team to 82 battles” to add 65 without changing the original results. Daily drafts remain 17 battles; extending creates a separate unlimited run. These are playful editorial interpretations, not canonical power rankings. Progress and your best record save in this browser when storage is available.

Unlimited play supports fresh drafts and same-pool replays. Daily draft uses the same pool sequence and battle seed for everyone on the UTC date, with one server-saved attempt per anonymous browser cookie. Reloading resumes; completed daily results cannot be replayed. Completing a daily draft extends the play streak. A 10–7 or better result also extends the win streak. A loss breaks only the win streak; a missed UTC day breaks both. Resets at midnight UTC; unfinished prior-day attempts expire. Clearing cookies or using another browser creates a separate identity. No account is needed. Friends can share squads for asynchronous simulated battles; there are no live matches.

Power edition 3 uses varied, research-informed editorial ratings. Power, speed, strategy and support differ by character and named form; stronger forms receive meaningful upgrades. The 0–100 scale compresses cross-universe differences rather than expressing literal power multipliers. Role choices and chemistry still matter. Existing drafts retain their original battle rules.
